the Warranty Registration details direct from the purchaser,
record the details and confirm the registration back
to the end user. Customers register their entitlement
to on-site warranty by returning a card, duly filled
in, which is shipped with every unit. These details
are recorded in such a way that warranty entitlement
can be verified at a later date. If a unit develops
a fault during the warranty period, Interchange will
attend the user's site to effect the repair. If the
unit cannot be restored to a working condition, a loan
unit will usually be provided while the repair is carried
out. If the unit requires realignment and calibration,
this will be carried out at Interchange's fully equipped
workshops.
All
of the above functions are being managed using Interchange's
own comprehensive Service Management package developed
and written by the Interchange Group. This system is
used to record all the warranty details and provides
full statistical reporting, essential for the management
of such a contract. The customer has direct access into
the system, in order that they may enquire on individual
