Interchange Group - Warrantee

In today's modern business environment, large product manufacturers who wish to concentrate on doing what they do best; that is, making and selling large volumes of equipment; need no longer worry about the administration of their after sales services. With costs and resources becoming critical issues, these same companies can now look out to companies who have the specialised knowledge and experience to take on these extra tasks.

Interchange are already providing a range of warranty administration, repair services and a technical help-line for one of the largest electronics companies in the world, covering their computer peripheral products. Interchange receive the Warranty Registration details direct from the purchaser, record the details and confirm the registration back to the end user. Customers register their entitlement to on-site warranty by returning a card, duly filled in, which is shipped with every unit. These details are recorded in such a way that warranty entitlement can be verified at a later date. If a unit develops a fault during the warranty period, Interchange will attend the user's site to effect the repair. If the unit cannot be restored to a working condition, a loan unit will usually be provided while the repair is carried out. If the unit requires realignment and calibration, this will be carried out at Interchange's fully equipped workshops at Newport Pagnell.

All of the above functions are being managed using Interchange's own comprehensive Service Management package developed and written by the Interchange Group. This system is used to record all the warranty details and provides full statistical reporting, essential for the management of such a contract. The customer has direct access into the system, in order that they may enquire on individual call progress directly. We at Interchange are now offering outsourcing and out-tasking services to all our customers, covering, as well as Warranty Support, areas such as Workshop Repair and Help Centre Services.
