law firm picks Interchange
National
law firm Shoosmiths is working with
the Interchange Group to develop and
deploy a remote access solution for
partners and fee-earners using wireless
push technology.
Interchange
has provided Shoosmiths with a cost
effective way of extending its corporate
network allowing partners and fee-earners
to access key applications, such as
email, calendar and time-recording,
from any location.
It
will enhance the service Shoosmiths
offers its clients by improving the
accuracy of time recording, allowing
partners and fee-earners to record
time as work is completed, and by
speeding up client response time.
The
deal was announced at the recent LegalTech
show in Birmingham and Phillip Jones,
managing director of Interchange,
said: "We believe the benefits
that we can deliver will reap real
rewards for Shoosmiths and enhance
the service which they provide to
their clients."
Interchange
predicts that the professional services
sector, including lawyers and accountants,
will be the next big adopters of mobile
technologies, which have already proved
a major success in the service arena.
Using
GPRS 'always on' technology, it keeps
monthly user fees to a one-off charge
which allows unlimited numbers of
emails to be received and sent at
no extra cost, unlike dial-up or SMS
charges via traditional phone lines
where users pay per message.
Interchange
has 15 years experience of working
with companies to enhance the efficiency
of their organisation through the
deployment of mobile technologies.
