Commerce comes of age
Businesses
are beginning to realise that there is no substitute
for “being there”. Although, increasingly, eBusiness
is removing the geographical limitations of business,
and allowing 24x7 operations, sometimes building a customer
relationship means you have to “be there”.

Security - It's good to be paranoid
You
might think I am being paranoid when I say that computer
security is a problem. No really it is - along with
security for PDA's, Rim's BlackBerry®, Smartphones
and other mobile computing devices.
And
you might think that I am just being negative when I
say that there is more bad news. It's one of those problems
that doesn't really have a long-term solution either,
because you can never really fix it: so yes, be paranoid
like me - it helps.
This
paper covers a specific dimension of security threats
faced daily by the ever increasing number of home and
remote workers. Not for them the sophisticated firewall
and security of a corporate physical location; home
and remote workers are essentially cast out into the
wilderness of consumer broadband and wireless routers.
