Interchange Mobility Suite

The Interchange Group Mobility Suite for BlackBerry® is designed to run on the BlackBerry® and offers a system for mobile workers to manage workloads and internal / external messaging communications.

Mobility Suite is also available for other forms of mobile computing device including XDA and Laptop computers.

Mobility Suite for BlackBerry® is a distributed mobile application that works independently on the BlackBerry® but integrates with a back end work management system. It builds on the unique BlackBerry® mobile push architecture to deliver an enterprise platform for an application tailored to the needs of the mobile workforce. The standard BlackBerry functionality delivers a secure, robust and fully featured environment that has been built on to provide this solution.

The application offers three main areas - Work, History and Messages.

  • The Work sub-application offers the following functionality:
    • List current work
    • View work details
    • Update work details and timings
    • Complete work
  • The Work History sub-application allows previously completed work to be examined
  • The Messages sub-application shows text messages received system. It then allows replies to be sent and new messages to be drafted.

Importantly, the solution allows the users to be able to work with their systems when no data connection exists. Information will be queued on the BlackBerry®, or on the BES, and will be transferred automatically once a connection is re-established.

Due to the BlackBerry's unique aggressive, push architecture this provides an enterprise quality structure for distributed applications and email as well as calendar functions.
