Consignia
awards Interchange for excellent service
Lockington-based,
Interchange Group, has been presented
with its eighth consecutive award
in the Consignia First Class Supplier
Awards, one of the top accolades in
the supply management industry.
After
scooping a record number of prizes
since the start of the scheme nine
years ago, including ‘IT Supplier
of the Year,’ the company, which specialises
in information and communications
technology, has been rewarded once
again for its on-going commitment
to deliver excellent solutions and
services to the Post Office Group.
Recognised
for its dedicated customer service
and high quality IT solutions, as
well as its continuous support to
the local community and its environmental
policies, Interchange walked away
with silver status for 2001.
“Consignia
is one of the biggest IT users in
the UK, spending over a billion pounds
every year on goods and services,
so to be granted silver supplier status
is a huge achievement for the entire
company,” said Phillip Jones, managing
director of Interchange Group. “Out
of Consignia’s 10,000 suppliers we
are one of the few companies to gain
accreditation year after year, which
is a reflection on how committed we
are to our promise to continuously
deliver our own first class service.”
Speaking
at the award ceremony, John Roberts,
chief executive of Consignia said,
“The First Class Supplier Awards is
an opportunity to recognise our supply
partners for the contribution they
are making to Consignia. I was pleased
at the high standard of this year's
entrants."
Interchange
Group, an e-business specialist in
customer relationship management and
service management, was presented
with a certificate at the ceremony
at the National Motorcycle Museum
in Birmingham on 28 November 2001.
